This site’s not dead …

I got to see Death Cab for Cutie and Rouge Wave Saturday night in Indy.   The show was an outdoor stage set up at White River State Park.  The complimetary lawn chairs were a nice touch. It’s nice being in downtown Indy, plenty of things to do within walking distance and parking is cheap ($5 all day).  Our tickets never came in the mail but Ticketmaster had replacements at the will call window.  At least I got something for the $12 per ticket service fees. Everyone knows it but the 30% fee going to ticketmaster is too steep. More bands need to demand that the promoter makes tickets available outside ticketmaster.

I’m adding a section to this site devoted to MythTV. If you’ve never heard of it, it is an open-source Digital Video Recorder for Linux. Imagine merging a TiVo with all your mp3s, dvds, and video games, and you have an idea of what MythTV can do.

I’m just starting my project and will update this site as my DVR progresses. If anyone reading this has suggestions or questions, feel free to use the comments. I’ll be posting pictures along with each step. Eventually I would like to have all of my music and movies contained on one server, but cost and time are major issues right now.
